Quilling is the art of paper filigree: rolling, folding, and glueing strips of paper into beautiful designs. There are many different fancy tools that can be used in quilling. But for this project you just need:
Colored paper (I used origami paper)
Card stock for the base/card and to create the exterior heart shape
Scissors
Toothpick
Glue (I also used some tape because I got worried the glue wouldn’t be stable enough)
This video on quilling for beginners shows how you can make this cute quill-filled heart.
This was a quick project and I enjoyed making all the little loose scrolls out of my pink patterned origami paper. I folded my cardstock in half so I could make a Valentine’s Day card and glued (and taped) the heart and quilled paper to the front.

I hope the person who gets your homemade card will experience a heart full of love.
